Bjork - Modeselektor Remix For Girls

About a month ago I posted the pre-release of Modeselektor’s Remix for Boys of Bjork’s “Dull Flame of Desire”. Now I feel like it’s appropriate to post the reciprocal remix - “Dull Flame of Desire (Modeselektor’s Remix For Girls)”. The titles for the remixes are perfect. The boy’s remix is darker and creepier and the girl’s remix is sweeter and smoother. Both of them still have some chopped lyrics and beats. They’re great.

I’ve yet to hear the actual original version.

Wow. This remix if one the best I’ve heard in a long, long time. It makes for a dark, electric sound. It starts off almost sounding like a Crystal Castles track, but less 8-bit. Then evolves into a real banger as the song goes on. I love it. Probably because it’s by Modeselektor.

Wouldn’t it be weird if the next Bjork came out with was crazy electro and she totally switched up her sound. I think Bjork should follow Jay-Z’s influence and let Kanye produce her next album. You know- to give someone less experienced a chance to shine. I’m sure he’d be great at it.
